Tom Ryan Cartage has been working on continually improving it's Health & Safety Systems and culture for the past decade.
Currently a primary level company in the Work Safe Management practices program. TRC is currently working towards secondary level compliance.
In conjunction with one of our corporate business partners we recently produced an SOP (standard operating procedure) for the safe use of our many crane trucks. We have also adopted other SOP's for lifting and fork hoist use with the TRC group. It is our intention that all employee's work safely and are not injured whilst at work.
TRC encourage site inductions in conjunction with our customers to ensure Health & Safety is paramount to all our staff and our customers. Should any concerns arise off site all staff are instructed to contact our offices immediately through their RT systems and or mobile phones provided.
Our GPRS system also gives us more visibility for the health and safety of our employees and our customers. Once a truck is stationary for a designated time frame, the system will alert the dispatcher that there maybe a problem/issue. The dispatcher can then start checks to make sure the driver is safe and not injured. The safety of our staff and customers is our priority!
